10-10-2014: We Lead: Student Leadership Conference
We Lead is a free half-day program open to all students from UW-Eau Claire, UW-Stout and Chippewa Valley Technical College. Whether you’re a new leader, an experienced leader, or not even sure if you’re a leader, this opportunity is designed with you in mind.
This free conference features an opening keynote, several breakout sessions on various leadership topics, and drawings for some great prizes. All students attending all conference sessions receive a certificate of achievement. Lunch is provided.
This year’s conference will be held Sunday, October 19, from noon to 5 p.m. in W.R. Davies Student Center. Registration is open through Wednesday, October 15, and is limited to the first 200 participants.

Ever thought about joining Greek Life? Well now is your chance!
Sorority Recruitment is a formal process that allows women to meet with each chapter on campus and find the best fit for them. Each night of recruitment represents a different area of Greek Life including Service, Scholarship, and Friendship while allowing potential new members to meet all the current members of Sorority Life. UW-Eau Claire currently has about 120 women involved in 3 sororities: Alpha Xi Delta, Delta Zeta, and Sigma Sigma Sigma.
Pre-Recruitment events allow women to visit with current members and ask questions informally to determine if they would like to sign up or not for Formal Recruitment. Below are some of the events you can attend to meet Greek women:
Thursday, August 28th, 8am-5pm: Meet the Greeks, Outside Davies, behind Putnam Hall
Friday, August 29th, 11:30am-2pm: Meet the Greeks, Table in Davies, near east entrance and Service Desk
Saturday, August 30th, 12-4pm: Governors Hall Tie Dye Affair, Located in Governors Hall's backyard
Wednesday, September 3rd, 11am-2pm: Blugold Organization Bash, Located on the Central Campus Mall (Rain Site: 3rd Floor Ballrooms of Davies)
Thursday, September 4th, 11am-2pm: Ice Cream Social, Located in Maple Lounge, first floor Davies near Service Desk
Formal Recruitment begins Saturday, September 6th at 1pm in Davies. Interested women must register prior to this date to participate. 01-29-2014: Nominate Fellow Students for Excellence Awards!
Presented by the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire Alumni Association, the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire Foundation and the University Centers, the University Student Excellence Awards recognize outstanding accomplishments in areas that reflect the core values of the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire.
The students honored reflect the university’s living vision to be the premier undergraduate learning community in the Upper Midwest. Award recipients are recognized at the annual University Student Excellence Awards reception.
All UW-Eau Claire faculty, staff and students are invited to submit nominations. Information about the individual awards may be accessed via the sidebar on the University Student Excellence Awards website. Names of nominators will be shared with the respective nominees.
Nominations for individual awards are open through Friday, February 28th and include the following categories:

Looking for a free, leadership program at Eau Claire? U Lead is great place to start!
U Lead is a free program open to all students from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire looking to learn something new, network with others from campus, and work collaboratively to become more leadership-focused. This conference is designed and run by student leaders to help address problem areas, new techniques for leadership, and other topics that you care about.
This year's conference will be held on Sunday, March 2nd from 10:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. in the Davies Student Center.
This free conference features networking opportunities, a student keynote and several breakout sessions on various leadership topics. All students attending all conference sessions receive a certificate of achievement. Lunch and refreshments are provided during the conference.
Registration is open through Wednesday, February 26, and is only open to the first 150 students.

U Lead comes from an increased demand in leadership-focused programming. 07-19-2013: Fall Leadership Seminar Registration Open!
The Leadership Seminar Series is designed to provide you with an opportunity to explore leadership with a small group of your peers and apply what you learn to your life experiences. Students will examine the history and evolution of leadership, will learn about personal strengths and preferences and how to work with others, will learn about important components of effective leadership, and will identify strategies for creating positive change.
The Seminar is an eight-week, non-credit opportunity available for up to 20 students. Seminar participants meet for 90 minutes each week throughout the duration of the program. There is no cost to participate, and all books and materials are provided for participants.
There will be two offerings for the Fall 2013 Leadership Seminar Series. Participants can choose between Thursdays from 4–5:30 p.m., beginning September 12 and concluding October 31 or Tuesdays from 5 - 6:30 p.m., beginning September 17 and concluding on November 5. Interested individuals must be available to meet at the selected time in order to participate. Registration is open through Friday, September 6, 2013.
